Mark West

Mark West, a professor in the English Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, has taught courses in children’s and young adult literature since 1984. He has also had administrative positions at UNC Charlotte, including the Chair of the English Department and the Director of the American Studies Program. He has written or edited over twenty books, including the recent Liminal Spaces in Children’s and Young Adult Literature (Lexington Books 2024), and co-edited the forthcoming Broadview Edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with Dina Schiff Massachi.
